Yes. This decision comes after careful consideration of economic factors, and is necessary to maintain and advance TCU's standard of excellence in academics, student experience and services.
Tuition for full-time undergraduates will increase by approximately $4,520 for the 2024/2025 academic year.
All hourly undergraduate rates, and some graduate rates, will increase by the same 7.9% to align with the overall tuition increase. For specific details regarding the impact on graduate programs, please contact your respective program office for more information.
The tuition rate increase will be applied across all classes — existing students and incoming students.

Most public and private universities experience an annual increase in fixed costs, resulting in a tuition rate increase, including TCU.
Those funds are used to support people and programs at an increasing rate every year. As a result of Lead On: A Campaign for TCU, need-based financial aid has grown by 185%, from $43 million in 2012 to $123 million in 2022. In addition, funds from the endowment are used to cover general costs and manage overall tuition costs as inflation impacts operational costs. The university is committed to making a TCU education more accessible by continuing to increase financial aid for qualifying students as well as merit awards for academic performance.

Need-based financial aid will increase by the same 7.9% for students who have pre-qualified for financial aid. Complete the FAFSA for the 2024-2025 academic year to ensure you continue receiving need-based aid, including grants, loans and work-study programs. For students with academic scholarships that do not cover the full tuition, the scholarship amount will remain the same amount as previously offered. However, families may consider applying for more aid by filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and completing the CSS Profile.
Eligibility for merit-based scholarships is determined without regard to financial need. Consequently, most scholarships are not adjusted when tuition increases. However, scholarships designated as full-tuition awards, such as the Chancellor’s Scholarship, will be adjusted automatically.
